The Artist
With a burgeoning talent nurtured early on by her grandmother and refreshed by attending a paint 'n' sip a few years ago, the artist dabbles mostly in acrylics, charcoal, graphite, ink, photography, and oil, but loves to experiment with all media. Influenced by Jacob Lawrence and Varnette P. Honeywood, the artist aims to illustrate the beauty of Blackness mainly through bold- and bright-colored portraits. She creates by the mantra, "Only you can make your art, so make it."
